Vacationing at beach camping parks has become a popular trend. While there are still those who prefer to stake their tents on a forest floor, parking an RV, or spreading a sleeping bag on the sand and sitting out beneath the stars, while listening to the gentle roar of the ocean appeals to many. Myrtle Beach
The Lakewood Camping Resort offers 1200 scenic lakefront, ocean front or wooded camp sites. Just about all campsites are able to accommodate RVs or tents and offer water, cable television, propane gas delivery, telephone hookup & 20, 30 & 50 amp power pedestals. You can even access the Internet! Pets are welcome and laundry facilities and bathhouses are available. Campers can also enjoy volleyball, a heated swimming pool and a whirlpool spa.
At the Myrtle Beach Travel Park the beach loving family can also enjoy oceanfront camping. This beach appeals to fisherman as it offers a 17 acre freshwater lake stocked with bass and bream. It also boasts both outdoor and indoor heated pools and a lazy river. There's also an arcade, a chapel, restaurant and snack bar and cable television. Clearly these resort parks give one the amenities of hotel while still offering the sense that a family is "roughing it."
Florida
Camping on the Gulf Travel Park in Destin, Florida also offers the laid back lifestyle of one expects from a beach park, but still offers some luxury amenities that allow campers to feel like they really are experiencing a beach vacation. While this isn't a beach camping park for tent campers, those who enjoy the RV or pop-up lifestyle are certainly welcome here. Cabins are also available for those who prefer a more rustic feel. According to their website, camping at Fiesta Key in Long Key, Florida, is like camping on your own tropical island. Whether you're sleeping in a tent, or taking advantage of one of their many Kamping Kottages, motel suites or Kamping Kabins, you'll still feel as if you're spending your time at a luxury family resort. Amenities include an Olympic style pool, hot tubs, full-service marina with boat ramp and live music. If you arrive on the right weekend, you might find other enjoyable activities such as a rodeo, parades, egg hunts or even a Thanksgiving potluck!
California Beach Camping Parks
At Pismo Cost Village RV Resort campers can enjoy viewing the sun setting over the water while relaxing beachside. Amenities include Internet hookups, cable television, bicycle rentals, a general store, a laundromat and bicycle rentals.
For those who prefer the more primitive state park camping, Silver Strand State Beach, located in Coronado California is the campground for you. Campers can enjoy swimming, boating, water skiing, picnicking, fishing and volleyball. Rest rooms and showers are available and all campsites come with fire rings. Wireless computer service is also available! If you'd rather avoid the crowded RV parks, this may be a nice, relaxing alternative.
