Located in Nehalem, Oregon, near Manzanita, Nehalem Bay State Park sits on a sand spit between its namesake Nehalem Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Getting back and forth from the bay to the ocean is easy thanks to well-maintained hiking and biking trails. The campground has over 300 sites, including tent, RV, and primitive options. Rental yurts are also available. The park even includes primitive horse camp sites and a 2,400 airstrip for those who want to fly in for a camping adventure. Hot showers and flush toilets are available. Most campsites have electrical hookups and water. A dump station is available for RVS. The campground is open year-round. The park has a boat ramp, as well as boat docks that are available May - October. Reservations are accepted.
Barview Jetty County Campground
The Tillamook County Parks Department operates six campgrounds, the largest of which is the Barview Jetty County Campground. Open all year, this campground has 347 campsites as well as some rental cabins. Campsites range from full hook-up RV sites to standard tent sites and hiker-biker tent sites ("for people-powered travel only" - i.e., no vehicles). Showers are available, though they are coin-operated. Fee-based Wi-Fi is also available. The distance from the campground to the beach is only half a mile, so campers can enjoy an easy, pleasant walk to to the beach. This campground is on the North Shore of Tillamook Bay, just a short drive from the town of Garibaldi. Reservations are accepted.
Cannon Beach RV Resort
If you're an RV camper looking for an Oregon Coast campground with all the amenities, look no further than Cannon Beach RV Resort. With 99 full hookup RV sites, this campground can accommodate RVs of all sizes, from the smallest of pop-up campers to 60-foot motor homes. Most sites are back-in, though a few pull-throughs are available. Cannon Beach is just a short stroll away, and Haystack Rock is within half a mile. Campers can enjoy a variety of amenities, including an indoor pool and hot tub, game room, on-site convenience store, and well-maintained bathhouse facilities. This Oregon Coast RV campground is open all year. Reservations are accepted.
Wright's for Camping
If you're looking for a more rustic Cannon Beach camping adventure , you may find that Wright's for Camping is a better option for you. This small family business features 22 wooded campsites primarily designed for tent camping. They do have a few sites that can accommodate small RVs, though there are no hookups at any of the sites. The campsites are spacious and feature picnic tables and fire rings. Clean restrooms and bathhouse facilities are available, as are on-site laundry facilities. The beach is an easy stroll away, along paved paths through town. This campground is open seasonally, opening for Memorial Day and closing after Labor Day. Reservations are accepted.
Fort Stevens State Park
If you're heading to the northern part of the Oregon shoreline, Fort Stevens State Park is a fabulous camping spot to consider. With nearly 500 campsites and several rental cabins and yurts, this is a large campground situated in a beautiful and historically significant location. (Fort Stevens was in service as part of the Columbia River's Harbor Defense System for over 80 years.) Most campsites have electricity and water, and many are full hook-up RV sites. There are six tent sites that don't have water or electricity, but water access isn't far away. The campground also has a designated camping area for hikers and cyclists. Shower and flush toilet facilities are available. The park's trail system includes six miles of hiking trails and nine miles of bicycle trails that are paved.
