About North Georgia Fairgrounds Camping

The campground is divided into two separate areas. One of the areas is open 12 months out of the year while the other is open only during the area's peak tourism months of April through October. Some of the campsites are paved and have sewer hookups. All of the sites feature 50 amp electricity, water, WiFi access and cable television.

Since the campground at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds is such a popular spot for visitors to the area to stay, the facility often sells out. This is particularly true when there is a major event going on at the fairgrounds. If you want to enjoy North Georgia fairgrounds camping, make a reservation as soon as you know when you will be traveling to the area.

Those who want to book a campsite at the campground should be aware that there is a two-night minimum for each stay. Campsites can be reserved on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. As of February of 2011, daily rates for tent camping range from $20 to $27 per day and from $300 to $450 per month. RV rates vary between $22 and $33 per day, depending on location within the campground, with monthly prices ranging from $325 to $550.

When you are ready to book your campsite, call 706-896-4191 to make your reservation. Reservations for stays of less than one month in duration can only be made for the current year. Those who wish to book a stay of a month or longer can reserve their campsites as early as November of the year preceding their planned stay. You will need to pay a deposit of half the total cost of your stay within one week of the time that you call in your reservation in order to confirm your plans.
